Don't forget about Oatmeal!

I had to add some pictures of Oatmeal since he is being so good lately. He's been great with the twins so far and only ruined 1 burp cloth and 1 bib. He gets rather excited sometimes (which is nothing new) but he pretty much leaves Mark and Ella alone. And he has learned to tune out their cries, too. I've been impressed with how well he is handling everything.

I took Oatmeal to the vet yesterday to check on a limp that he has been having and we were given orders to not exercise for 10 days. Yikes! I don't know who has it worse, us or him. Its going to be a very long 10 days.

Too Funny

I had to post this picture b/c it was just too funny. Ella is screaming and Mark is looking at us for help! Good thing it didn't last too long and they fell asleep.
Bobby and Julia came over last Friday for a visit. Julia was in from out of town, so we were very happy that she could come over, say hello, and snuggle some babies. Bobby got in on the snuggles too!

I found my thumb!

Mark reached an important milestone the other day.....he found his thumb! He hasn't quite found it again since then, but I'm sure he will. Ella has proven to be quite the escape artist. I had to snap a pic of her in the middle of a nap with arms and legs sticking out all over the place. Both love to be swaddled, but unless its super tight, she'll get out of it.

Hook 'em!

Matt and Mark watched their first of many UT games this weekend. Maybe next year they will get to watch the game in Austin instead of on tv. :) Aunt Valerie stayed with us last week and helped out. Mark and Ella are definitely going to miss their long talks with their Aunt. And Matt and I are going to miss her cooking and diaper changes!

Sleeping Soundly

Mark and Ella enjoy sleeping close to each other (sometimes), so we snapped a pick of this one. They pretty much sleep most of the time and its a struggle to keep them awake to get a full feeding, but they are definitely getting better at it. Mark is slowing figuring out that night time is for sleeping, but Ella seems to have that down a little better. Hopefully she won't prove me wrong anytime soon.

2nd Week Home

The twins have been home for 2 weeks now. Here's a pic of Ella with her Aunt Angela, who also just had her baby Joseph on Friday. We can't wait to meet their newest cousin! Mark and Ella also had their first Dr appointment last week. Everything was right on target. Mark has gained 5 oz since birth and Ella has gained 1 oz. They are both growing and are 18 3/4 inches long.

1st Week

Here are some pics of Mark and Ella's first week home. You can see from their picture that they really enjoyed their first bath. They had some good snuggle time with Nana and Poppy too.
