Delivery Day .... maybe!

I went for an ultrasound with the specialist on Tuesday and everything looked pretty good. Mark weighed in at 4lb 15 oz (30th %) and Ella was 5 lb 6 oz (40th %). Their %'s dropped and will continue to do so, so she said she'd like the babies delivered within 2 to 2 1/2 weeks. Unfortunately, that is precisely when my OB is out of town.

So after seeing my OB the next day, she thought going a bit early would still be ok (I'll be 36 weeks then). So I'm scheduled for a c-section August 9th at 6:30 in the morning. Ella has now decided to lay sideways which is pretty much the worst position for her. So unless she decides to cooperate, we're looking at a c-section. My OB would like to talk to the specialist and get her opinion on the August 9th date just to be sure. But of course, the specialist is out of town so we won't know until Monday. But, hopefully, everyone agrees and thats the day! Can't wait!

Nursery Pics

Here are some pics of the nursery! Mark and Ella's talented Nana made all the bedding and curtains! She's probably very tired of pink, blue, and brown at the moment, but I think it looks great! Big thanks to Mom for all her work!

I also added a pic of my big belly. I'm 34 weeks and 3 days (yes I'm counting down the days at this point). And yes, its 2:00 in the afternoon and those are my pajama pants. Unfortunately, there are a limited amount of things that will fit at the moment and I'm all about comfort. :) I also put in a cute pic of Oatmeal. He's taken to napping in his crate for some reason, and this is what Matt and I call his air conditioning position.

June Ultrasound

The babies are getting really big now, so the pictures from the ultrasound are getting harder and harder to make out. This one is of Mark and I couldn't find a good one of Ella. She was a little camera shy this last time.

Ella is in the 80% for her age and was over 4 1/2 lbs last week. Mark was right at 50% and weighed in over 3 1/2 lbs. Only about 1 more month to go, so we'll see how big they get. I'm at home for the remainder of the pregnancy since my doc was a little worried about Mark's size, but we got a 2nd opinion last week and everything is fine. Now I'm just at home napping and cranking down the a/c.

June 16th Baby Shower

We had another fantastic shower at Lopez (a Meloy tradition) hosted by my in laws - Jan, Judy, and Angela. We had some great enchiladas and had fun opening presents. My nephew Peyton was an honorary host and is in one of the pictures. And Angela is expecting her 2nd baby boy September 3rd, 4 days before my official due date! The cute booties are from Michelle Riley and were hand made!!! They are still on our mantle so they can stay as far away as possible from Oatmeal (our dog that has an uncanny ability to destroy socks). Thanks again for the wonderful shower!

June 9th Baby Shower

Our second baby shower was a couples shower and was a blast! Matt and I both had a great time and I think all the girls enjoyed watching Matt open some of the baby gifts. The shower was hosted by Kelly & Aaron, Michelle & Anthony, Jason & Denise, Matt & Sarah, Margaret, and Greg. We can't thank them enough for the great food and wonderful time we had! We even had a group of girls drink an entire bottle of non-alcoholic wine without even knowing it! I still laugh about that.

June 2nd Baby Shower

Here are some pictures from my baby shower on Saturday. We had fun tasting baby food, measuring my belly, and testing our knowledge of the cost of baby products. The shower was hosted by Valerie and Carolyn, and was at my mom's house. Thanks for all the hard work! I had a great time and was thrilled to get all the baby stuff.

More Ultrasound Pics

Here are some more ultrasound pictures. The babies weighed in with Ella at 2 lbs 2 oz and Mark at 1 lb 15 oz. In the past month, Ella has flipped around, so both babies are head down now and facing left. Everything looked good so far and now I'll start seeing the doc every 2 weeks, though I'll still get ultrasounds monthly. Mark is baby A in the pictures and Ella is baby B. The last 3-D picture is of Ella and she's holding her hand up to her eye. Mark didn't want to cooperate, so we couldn't get a good picture of his face. Maybe next time. :)
